It's been quite a while since Mel Gibson had a starring role in a feature film (if my memory serves me correctly his previous leading role was in "Signs" nearly one decade ago). He is probably the only reason that this film is worth watching. He plays a homicide detective for the Boston PD who must investigate a series of "conspiracies".
All of the conspiracies in this movie are fairly cliche and you will probably be able to predict the ending well before all of the details are unveiled. The film overall moves at a snail's pace and this is a real problem as its unable to create many moments of real tension and intrigue.
The remainder of the cast is fairly forgettable and somehow manage to take you out of the experience. Luckily, Gibson makes the movie much better than the sum of its parts. I would only recommend this film to fans of Mel Gibson as there are far better conspiracy movies out there with which to spend your time/money.
