I have been a fan of the Gran Turismo series since the original on playstation 1....having purchased and played each version; I have to say that this portable version definitely lives up to its heritage.

The game contains excellent graphics with no pop in or blurring problems, as well as a nice soundtrack. The sound track is not licensed so don't expect the same type of quality as the home console versions. Overall the music is passable and not annoying.

The gameplay is very good..it contains all the same elements of the console game with the exception of the simulation "Gran Turismo" Mode. This may be disappointing to some, but once you play the game you will not miss it. The developers did include the license tests, the time trials as well as various arcade style races in which you need to achieve consecutively higher "ranks". This is quite fun and provides many hours of replay value.

The one issue I had is that they chose to limit the AI to 4 racers which was a bit weak.

The game however, contains almost all the cars of the retail version, but does limit which you can buy on any given day which can be a bit frustrating...especially if you want that Ferrari or Porsche :).

Overall the game is very good and I recommend it to any racing fan looking for a fantastic portable racer on the go.
