Minecraft Review

Minecraft. Sounds like a boring game. Or, players of Starcraft, may think it will be amazing! One thing, its amazing anyway. Made my the Holy Notch, 1 man, makes a game that will sell millions.

Firstly, if you have seen some videos of Minecraft, you will probably think, What the hell is that? Well, it all depends on which Minecraft you play, Classic or Beta. Classic is simple, and is basically designing buildings, however, Beta is much harder. Monsters, Dungeons, and you have to gather the resources yourself. It makes hard work of trying to build a casrle in Beta. I had 2400 blocks of cobblestone, and I have already used it up on 1 Keep in the centre.

Graphics are terrible on this, but that's all part of the fun. Although everything is blocks, that means nothing once you have built your first house. The pride of building it is huge, and you soon forget about the blocks. It already sold 1.3 million copies, and Need for Speed: Underground 2 only sold 5 million, and Minecraft isn't even released yet, still in Beta.

The sounds are better than the graphics, but there isn't much variety, when killing a pig, to get pork chops, the pig will make only 3 different noices when killing, and then these are repeated if you have a wooden sword. Although, rumours are spreading that backing music for the Game with be done by Deadmau5.

The gameplay is brilliant. The Idea is to mine rare resources, like Diamond and Redstone. However, people don't follow this, and decide to build some massive objects. Also, a number of Let's Players have made it big by posting a progressive adventure of they Minecraft World. Ultimately, the YOGSCAST are the best, currently trending as the most watched entertainment video on YouTube today.

Overall, the whole game is amazing. Although the lack of graphics, sound and stuff like that, its all blinded by the fact of Pride. Once I have finished my castle, I'm going to feel so happy, and full of Pride, it will be like nothing else before. And, at only £13, its a bargain for Pride. Plus, the popularity of the game allows newcomers to watch videos on YouTube, because so many people play Minecraft.
