Let me start by saying that the only reason to purchase this guide is if you are a collector of strategy guides, if you are a major fan of the Halo series, or if you appreciate art. Halo: Reach is one of the most popular releases of the year. As such, you will be able to find plenty of information regarding strategies, secrets, and walkthroughs fairly easily just by searching the web.

The story of Halo: Reach follows Noble Team and their efforts at stopping the Covenant from overrunning the planet Reach. This guide features a step-by-step walkthrough of the entire game in addition to wonderful artwork and commentary by the game's designers.

This is a fairly comprehensive limited edition guide at over 400 pages. It is also hard cover which is always a nice plus. It also contains high quality glossy pages in addition to featuring one of the members of Noble Team Six on the cover.

The guide does contain detailed strategies for online modes (matchmaking, firefight, etc.) in addition to the single player/co-op campaign. This information is presented very well and for the most part is accurate (though some things, like ranking order, are a bit off). I also wish they pinpointed the exact locations of the data pads (as opposed to just providing "hints") as this is one aspect of the game that I haven't been able to locate easily online. Given time, however, I am sure this information will become easily available.

Overall, compared to most other strategy guides this one is very nice and the price online is very fair. Definitely pick it up if you fall under one of the categories I mentioned above.
